I,ve recently accidentally fell upon, why GP's may not help with ATOS. Due to the facts that we now live in a suing culture and patients are asking GP's to put medical opinion down on paper in regards to can someones illness be exacerbated by repetitive actions on daily tasks. Although GP's medicate and help patients to cope with their illnesses. They normally are not overly specialists in any one field. This therefore put them in a quandary and at risk, where if their letter's were not helpful in being successful at Tribunal, they could very well be ,leaving themselves open to lawsuits in regards to unreliable medical opinion. Now I am not saying this is FACT, but due to the amount of GP's refusing to help their patients, this is the only explanation I can deduce,in regards to facts and why GP's will not help their patients.
